As the search for the new manager at Swansea City continues, the Swans who are managed by caretaker boss Alan Shernan, came up against a Middlesbrough side who haven't won in 3 games until yesterday 16/12/23.

As always, I wake up on a Saturday morning full of excitement and optimism as another weekend of football determines my mood for the rest of the weekend, as the morning was drawing closer to the afternoon, my excitement and optimism starting to fade away, even pie and chips from Rossi's chippy before the game didn't help me!!

With kick off approaching, I made my way to the East Stand of the Swansea.com Stadium. My excitement and optimism returned as I took my seat to watch the players finish warming up.

As the game kicked off it was obvious to me that the swans were happy to settle for a point, which to me I was not happy with as I want to see my team win, especially when playing at home.

Middlesbourgh were the better side in the early stages of the game but the Swans had a golden chance to go in front from a free kick, somehow bashir Humphreys' header went wide, it looked harder to score than miss but that is what happened.

Another Swansea chance this time for Liam Walsh after some good work from Josh Tymon and Jamal Lowe, but again somehow Liam Walsh put the ball wide from 12 yards out, I was in disbelief once more that somehow the Swans had not scored.

As the clock ticked down to half time after some good play from Boro, they managed to find the breakthrough after Sam Greenwood blasted the ball low and hard passed Carl Rushworth on 43 minutes.

The Swans were back in the game on 59 minutes after Josh Tymon's cross found the head of Jamal Lowe to give the keeper no chance, I was excited that we got back into the game but I still wasn't happy of the performance upto that point in the game.

Not much happened after this goal until the 78 minute after Carl Rushworth picked up the ball after a back pass from Harry Darling, but from my view I'm guessing Rushworth thought it came off the Middlesbrough player, but the referee gave a indirect free kick from which Sam Silvera scored from to make it 2-1 to Boro and that is how the game ended.
